Since 2016, Ka Synjuk Ki Hima Arliang Wah Umiam-Mawphlang Welfare Society has been organizing the Annual SHG Meet & Fest every 12th of December. This vibrant gathering brings together Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Synjuk members, Lower Working Committee (LWC) members, village Headmen, Community Facilitators (CFs), and Youth Volunteers (YVs) from all 86 villages across the Khasi Hills and 27 villages from Ri-Bhoi District. The event features a variety of indoor and outdoor activities along with experience sharing sessions from Individual beneficiaries as well as SHG members. As a highlight of the event, awards are presented to well-performing SHGs and LWCs, along with Appreciation Awards to individual beneficiaries engaged in various livelihood activities. This annual celebration not only strengthens social bonds but also serves as a powerful platform for empowering communities and recognizing local efforts toward sustainable development.
